Our conductor for the 2008-2009
season is Mr. Ron Swim. Ron is a
Colorado native, and grew up in Grand
Junction, CO. He earned his Bachelor
Degree in Visual and Performing Arts
from Mesa State College and went on
to receive a K-12 teacher's
certification from Adams State
College.
Ron taught K-12 music in Green River,
UT and was also a substitute teacher
and instructional assistant in Grand
Junction.
After moving back to Grand Junction
from Green River, Ron
became the Director of Music at
Crossroads United Methodist Church
where he spent 22 years.
In January 2005, Ron, his wife Joan
and youngest son Isaac, moved to
Cheyenne, WY where he is now the
Director of Music at First United
Methodist Church. In this position Ron
conducts and supervised the vocal,
instrumental and handbell programs.
Ron also composes and arranges for
band, orchestra, choir and handbells.
